Agency Discourse Observation Memo

FEN is able to understand what these people are going through and just want to put their life at ease. They won’t turn anyone away and make sure this is what they want and not what others want them to do. There is no encouragement for the ill to end their life, and they believe everyone is entitled to their own life. Medication or equipment isn’t provided to the sick so they can end their suffering. Counseling is provided through the organization for the suffering and their loved ones. Home visits are made and an adequate amount of information if provided during this time. In order to be in their program you need to provide a medical diagnosis and a personal statement. There is also guidance so family can understand the choice that their ill family member is making.

In order for the distress and family to keep in contact with FEN e-mails and social groups are available to the public. Social groups that they have are Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. Their Twitter and Facebook account contains news articles dealing with their organization or legal cases going on with what they believe in, their beliefs, and any upcoming events. YouTube contains videos about their beliefs and tries to make people understand that there is nothing wrong with what they’re doing. Their website provides advance directiveness such as a Living Will Registry and a consumers tool kit for health care advance planning. You can download and fill out the Living Will Registry specifying the kind of medical care you may or may not want done to you if you are no longer able to communicate. They encourage you to fill one out before something serious were to happen to you, because if such a situation were to happen they would know if you wanted to end the pain that you were undergoing. No account is needed to view their website, sine it’s released to the public.

The organization even allows you to keep in touch with other members through their discussion forum, which has chat rooms and blogs. In the chat rooms you can connect with others that are going through the same pain or who agree or don‘t agree with a person ending their life. Blogs contain information about the Living Will, thoughts on taking final exit classes, and allows others to express their feelings or opinions about this group. If more information is needed they have a bookstore where you can purchase some books and videos to make sure this is what you want to do and allow you to gather more information about FEN. There are also newsletters and articles written about their group, and links to other societies that are related to their organization. Their news articles contain controversial issues that their billboard made or members who are facing legal issues with their decision. To participate in the chat rooms and blogs you need to create an account, provide a valid e-mail address, and create a username and password.
FEN is an organization that informs the audience of their beliefs, and knows that many people don’t believe in their group.  At the same time they don’t want others to ignore their religious beliefs. They come off as a friendly organization since they are trying to gain the trust of the viewers and their members. They provide an adequate amount to the ill, their family members, future members, volunteers, people who donate, or anyone who just wants to know about their right-to-die-movement. FEN just wants people to get a better understanding of euthanasia and how it will help end the suffering.
There are several people who endure the pain and suffering of mental and or physical illnesses, who want to end their life. Organizations who advocate the right to die are willing to assist these people to end their life in a dignified manner. They are willing to help a person no matter the circumstances that they‘re going through. One organization that helps people is FEN, also known as “FINAL EXIT NETWORK,” which guides the suffering through the path of ending their life.
